Battle of the Bands!!!

So the flyer has all the information about everything that's going on that night,
and here is everything else you may need to know.

The show is May 31st, a Sunday, and it starts at 4 P.M. The lineup is determined by the number of tickets sold.
The band who sells the least amount of tickets goes first, the band who sells the most goes last.
Until that's determined, I can't tell you when my band is going to play.

I will be selling tickets for 8 bucks a pop.
I can hold on to money and give you tickets later,
but I don't have the tickets yet.
I'll let everyone know through Facebook when I do.

I painted two new things today with one more in the works. I read about how to do a Splatter technique and for some reason, silhouettes came to mind so I'm going to start alternating between the wax resistance medium and the splattered silhouettes...
The first one is called "The World Burning Through This Mask", and the latter is "Free From This Atmosphere". Enjoy ! :D

I just realized how to do that Add Image thinglol... Here's the other picture so that confusing link doesn't happen again. This one's called "Girl in the Forest".

This is an old poem describing a dream I had when I fell asleep on a roof after it rained. It's been redone time and time again but fun nonetheless. Picture at the end unrelated. The piece is called, "The Girl Fading in the Forest".

"Venice (A Dream)"
The night shaped into a woman
Like a cloud passing overhead
She was every nightmare that I'd hidden from
Every word I'd ever said

Any thought that I had muttered
She'd recite to take control
Spoke slowly as the setting moon
Would set til it was full

I found myself where the music played
And the moonlight was so dangerous
Canals matched every sidewalk
Even in the smallest places

This is Venice, not a dream,
Not a feeling that contagious
Not a hero nor a villain
Will come easy just to save us

Every bar was empty
When I went to find repentence
I let thirst become the master
I let the rain finish the sentence

I watched hope rise like an airplane
Spoke Italian like a novice
Watched every streetlight's eyes
Awake as though I kept a promise

The water danced around the sinking city
As the young girls sold their flowers
In the candlelight, when the mood was right,
The wine whispered, "The city's ours."

THe morning found me waiting
To write about the dreams I keep
One day, Venice will find me arriving
Hoping it's just like when I sleep

The sinful waste of life
Will only come in stories of
The nights that become women
Who won't know me well enough.

So it goes like this...
I am His Erratik Majesti aka Adan. I'm a Scorpio. I'm from Texas. I ride horses.
...No, I don't really ride horses.
I write poetry and short stories, paint pictures, record music, and obviously this means I enjoy writing. I've been writing, painting more recently than anything, and I've also been recording music for myself, though I've worked with bands before and am currently involved in two other groups, N.atomilad and The King Minty Philosophers.
In N.atmoilad, I'm working with Sergio Muro, aka TechnoViking, another eclectic artist of such with many tattoos who plans to travel the world and Albert Long, a guy with potential to be one of the greatest session/live drummers evar. I'd never known anyone who could do the Mars Volta so well. :)

The King Minty Philosophers is yours truly playing guitar, and two new friends of mine, Scott on Mandolin, and Eric on the mountain Dulcimer. [This is a dulcimer : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Dulcimer] They're awesome and though we don't have anything recorded yet, we do regular public performances/practices with original songs.

So on to the first bit of news. As of today, I've got recorded songs that I want anyone who'll take the time to listen to hear the music... Listening to it, I'm noticing they're all pretty quiet since the recording quality wasn't that great at all. It's something though. So by all means, enjoy and go easy on me when you listen.

Should Loitering Prohibited [another epic blog you all should check out : http://loiteringprohibited.blogspot.com] post the first part of my story, I'll follow and put up the rest, depending on what happens. For now, I'm going to begin with some paintings and poetry in the next blog or two.
